The Clerk and Master is responsible for filing civil actions, including divorce, adoption, workers' compensation, boundary line, contract, conservatorships, and guardianships. The Clerk and Master is responsible for assisting the judges in the Chancery Court and handling paperwork involved with the court.
Clerks keeps minutes of the court in a well-bound book and maintain the Rule and Execution Docket in which all court documents are recorded. Clerks collect child support payments and deliquent real and personal property taxes.
